Kevin is the founding member of the firm concentrating in patents, trademarks, and land use and zoning.  He has been practicing for over twenty years including four-and-a-half years as a patent examiner at the USPTO, several years as an associate at law firms in the Washington, DC area, and over a dozen years as the sole in-house intellectual property (IP) counsel for a global technology company.

Kevin has created an entire patent portfolio consisting of U.S. and foreign patents and has handled over 1,000 patent applications and many trademark applications, so he is intimately familiar with how a patent may be obtained on your idea or how a trademark may be obtained for your brand.  Kevin also  counsels clients regarding any number of IP matters, for example, infringement, invalidity, licensing, and issues regarding Non-Practicing Entities (N.P.E.).

Kevin holds a masters degree in electrical engineering and an undergraduate degree in civil engineering so handles patent matters in a wide range of electrical, computer, electro-mechanical, and mechanical technologies.  Additionally, he has extensive experience coordinating with attorneys in other countries to resolve international IP matters and obtain international patent and/or trademark protection.  Kevin also prepares and prosecutes trademark applications before the USPTO for medium and small-sized companies some of which are listed on the Amazon Brand Registry.
